The Lancia Aurelia B24S convertible is a timeless masterpiece of Italian design, whose beauty inspired generations of sports cars. It was a personification of Italian elegance that enjoyed worldwide acclaim. The B24S convertible was the last and most advanced version of the Aurelia. With a larger engine, a luxurious interior and one of the first production cars with a De Dion rear suspension, the B24S was an innovative vehicle for its time. Only 701 examples were built and it is a highly sought after model for collectors, whose value keeps rising. It was an icon of Italian engineering art, and an ambassador of Italianism.

Our 1957 Lancia Aurelia B24S convertible is, with a production number of only 701 units, a very exceptional appearance and especially with its optional and original hardtop.

Nothing is missing from this car, it is a very unique piece and an absolute godsend to own a true piece of automotive history that is in top condition both technically and aesthetically. Available now at Rock 'n Roll classics and who knows, maybe in your collection soon.

During a complete nuts and bolts restoration, no expense was spared to turn this Aurelia into a true jewel and a feast for the eyes. As a result, this example immediately falls into the concours class of cars and has already taken home several prizes. The original and matching Celeste body color together with the beige leather interior form an extremely stylish combination and make this car the apple of everyone's eye. Stepping into this car you feel exactly as if you were picking it up at the Lancia dealership in '57. Also the original, matching numbers engine was completely taken care of during the restoration which not only makes this car look like new but also makes it drive like new and immensely reliable. Exactly everything you want in a car.

That the Aurelia symbolizes the mechanical and stylistic excellence of the Italian industry is certainly not made up, and that shows immediately when you open the hood, under the hood is the famous 2.5L alloy V6 with a Nardi upper radiator pipe, dual Weber 40 DCL5 carburetors mounted on a cast aluminum Nardi intake manifold, this setup was a hugely expensive option at the time and still very sought after and rare on these cars today. The engine starts perfectly and runs extremely smoothly and manages to express its power perfectly with the sublime 4-speed transmission that ensures that driving this Italian fury is smooth and easy. The car offers the necessary comfort for a quiet Sunday drive but with its stunning 149hp V6 is more than nippy enough to keep up with everyday traffic.

The reason why this car is still sought after today is because of its sleek and minimalist design, the film buffs among us will immediately remember that this Italian elegance stole many a heart when it featured in Dino Risi's film Il Sorpasso one of the first road movies ever made portraying the two-day journey along the Via Aurelia.
