The Maserati 3200GT was a most important model for Maserati, a new beginning after the de Tomaso ownership, which had damaged the brand.

The new Maserati was now an FCA brand, managed and overseen by Ferrari, which could sell in a higher volumes than the Ferrari brand, with a wider model range.

3200GT was named to recall the Maserati 3500, an icon of 1960s Gran Turismo motoring. It was designed by Giugario, who had designed classic 1960s Maseratis like the Ghibli, Bora and Merak. The outstanding feature of this design were the “boomerang” rear lights. As a return to quality finishing, the interior was beautifully trimmed and equipped in the style of classic Maserati.

This car is a manual version (1021 built), finished in metallic blue over dark grey leather interior. It has covered 132000 kms in the hands of 3 owners.

This car was first delivered on 29th of December 2000 to sr Vappellini in Pistoia, Italy. Its second owner was Sr. Pablo Ruyman del Rosario, who registered the car in Tenerife on 28 December 2009

While the Italian service history is no longer with the car, the service history in Tenerife is known. A new clutch, timing belts, water pump and full service were carried out at 120, 695 kms.

The Maserati passed to its third owner, Sr Jose Maria Dumas, El Campello, Alicante, being imported and re-registered in the Peninsula on 9th November, 2018.

During Sr Dumas´ ownership 4 new tyres were fitted and the complete electronic/electric systems have been revised to cure the electrical gremlins too often associated with Italian cars. A new battery and alternator have been fitted, together with new electric cooling fan, new left hand rear window elevator, reconditioned ABS unit and full service.

Our 3200GT has an immaculate and luxurious interior in classic grey leather. Being a manual car, it recalls the GTs of the 1960s, and is even more capable of carrying 4 people and their luggage over long distances.

The engine for the 3200GT was all new, a sophisticated all alloy, 32 valve V8. Designed under the guidance of Ferrari, the 3200GT featured twin turbos, which produced 370 PS and massive torque.

Our car is immaculately presented inside and out, recently professionally detailed, reflecting its careful maintenance and recent service history and is for sale because the owner wishes to reduce his classic car collection.
