This splendid replica of the Shelby Cobra Daytona is the result of the project of a gentleman driver who would have liked to drive this 400HP car that weighs only 1043 kg on the track.
It started in the 1990s with the purchase of all the parts in the USA and ended with the registration in Italy in 2023.
Totally assembled by the AutoTecnica company of Vicenza, a company specializing in Cobra and American cars, it was equipped with a 5-speed gearbox and a very powerful engine built by ATK HIGH PERFORMANCE ENGINES in Texas (https://atkhp.com/).
Painted in pastel blue as requested by the owner, it is ready to be decorated in the new pilot’s taste.
Particularly meticulous in its mechanics, it is a car that offers breathtaking performance with great handling and a fantastic set-up.
Tubular chassis with fiberglass bodywork, sliding plexiglass windows, glass rear hatch, wooden steering wheel, cage roll bar, anatomical seats designed for 5-point seat belts, customized interiors with diamond stitching.
Unfortunately, the long duration of the project led the owner to exceed 80 years of age and, as he could no longer use it, he was forced to sell it.
Registered in 1964, the year of the donor car, it enjoys all the relative benefits of a historic car in terms of insurance and tax.
