Quattro. Een bekende al dan niet de meest bekende titel binnen de Audi wereld. Vertaald vanuit het Italiaans, betekent het '4'. Dit is een referentie naar de vierwielaandrijving die bij de 'Quattro' modellen zijn inbegrepen. De Audi Quattro heeft vooral zijn naam bekend gemaakt binnen de rally. Hij werd voor het eerst geïntroduceerd in 1980. Het was de eerste auto die vierwielaandrijving combineerde met een turbomotor. Deze combinatie zorgde voor een revolutie in de rally-wereld en maakte de Quattro een icoon. In 1981 won de Quattro zijn eerste rally en in de jaren daarna domineerde hij de sport. Audi bleef...  de Quattro door ontwikkelen en in 1984 werd de Sport Quattro geïntroduceerd. Deze auto had een kortere wielbasis en was lichter dan zijn voorganger. Het was de meest succesvolle rallyauto ooit en wordt nog steeds beschouwd als een van de meest iconische auto's ooit gemaakt.

Onze 1984 Audi Quattro is uitgevoerd in een prachtige 'Alpine White'. Deze lak vormt een mooie combinatie samen met de geruite bruine stoffen bekleding en de 15 inch witte velgen. Zowel de lak als de bekleding verkeren in een hele nette en originele staat. Hij heeft een grijze skai lederen hemelbekleding.

In 1984 rolde de Audi uit de fabriek en in de handen van zijn eerste eigenaar. Na meerdere jaren in Duitsland te hebben doorgebracht, werd hij in 1998 voor het eerst op Nederlands kenteken geregistreerd te Nieuwegein. Hij was toen in het bezit van de voorzitter/secretaris van de Audi coupe/ Quattro Club. Er is toen een heel mooi artikel geschreven in het blad: Autoweek 3-2005. Hierna is hij in 2008 in het bezit gekomen van de voorgaande eigenaar. Deze heeft hem 15 jaar gekoesterd voordat hij in onze handen belandde.

Onder de motorkap ligt de welbekende 5-cilinder turbo motor. Deze is gekoppeld aan een handgeschakelde 5-versnellingsbak en vormt samen een vermogen van zo'n 200pk. De motor loopt goed en schakelt soepel in zijn versnellingen. Recent zijn de klepsteelrubbers nog vervangen door een Quattro specialist. De unieke combinatie van zijn turbomotor en vierwielaandrijving bieden ongekende grip en acceleratie.

Qua documentatie zijn er papieren aanwezig zoals;

- APK Keuringen
- Informatieve bladen/handleidingen
- Kopie van de oude Duitse Fahrzeugbrief

Met het groot aantal facturen is er aan te tonen dat er goed is gezorgd voor de Audi. Dit is ook terug te zien aan de huidige staat van de auto. Alleen maar in handen geweest van echte liefhebbers!

Quattro. A well-known if not the most famous title within the Audi world. Translated from Italian, it means '4'. This is a reference to the all-wheel drive included in the 'Quattro' models. The Audi Quattro has mostly made its name known within rallying. It was first introduced in 1980. It was the first car to combine four-wheel drive with a turbocharged engine. This combination revolutionised the rally world and made the Quattro an icon. In 1981, the Quattro won its first rally and dominated the sport in the following years. Audi continued to develop the Quattro and in 1984 the Sport Quattro was introduced. This car had a shorter wheelbase and was lighter than its predecessor. It was the most successful rally car ever and is still considered one of the most iconic cars ever made.

Our 1984 Audi Quattro is finished in a beautiful 'Alpine White'. This paint makes a nice combination together with the checkered brown fabric upholstery and the 15-inch white wheels. Both the paint and the upholstery are in very clean and original condition. It has a grey skai leather headlining.

In 1984, the Audi rolled out of the factory and into the hands of its first owner. After spending several years in Germany, it was first registered on Dutch plates in 1998 in Nieuwegein. It was then owned by the president/secretary of the Audi coupe/ Quattro Club. A very nice article was then written in the magazine: Autoweek 3-2005. After this, it came into the possession of its previous owner in 2008. This one cherished it for 15 years before it ended up in our hands.

The car has many interesting options such as;

Under the bonnet is the well-known 5-cylinder turbo engine. This is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and together forms a power output of around 200hp. The engine runs well and shifts smoothly in its gears. Recently, the valve stem rubbers were replaced by a Quattro specialist. The unique combination of its turbo engine and four-wheel drive offer unprecedented grip and acceleration.

In terms of documentation, there are papers present such as;
- Many (old) invoices
- MOT inspections
- Information sheets/manuals
- Copy of the old German fahrzeugbrief

With the large number of invoices, it can be shown that the Audi has been well taken care of. This is also reflected in the car's current condition. Only ever been in the hands of real enthusiasts!
